Crash Report

Montana State Law requires drivers to notify law enforcement of a crash by quickest means, and also requires them to remain on scene of a property/personal injury crash. These are both misdemeanor charges and could result in a citation if not followed.

If you are in a crash:

  • Call 911 immediately if you are involved in or witness a crash and believe there are injuries or road blockage.
  • Call Dispatch at (406) 446-1234 to report a non-injury crash or a crash without road blockage.
  • If requested by CCSO or MHP, you can complete a “White Form” MHP HQ1598 non-injury report and follow the directions on the top of the form.
