COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS
December 14, 2023
Commissioners Scott Miller and Scott Blain were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Bullock was at a meeting with the contractor replacing bridges destroyed in the 2022 flooding.
9:00 Administrative Officer Angela Newell joined the meeting. Sanitarian Director Barbara Krizek, Sanitarian Jesse Gutierrez, and Sanitarian Assistant Lori Kane met for the monthly Environmental Health Department update. Krizek and Gutierrez reviewed the written report (attached). It was noted the Department’s review has been reduced from three (3) months to one (1) month or less. A goal of Krizek’s is to review/revise Wastewater Regulations. Krizek would also like to create formal criteria for site evaluators in the County and a process to pull a license from a licensed installer. Krizek would also like to focus on compliance and cross-training for larger parcel reviews.
Gutierrez reviewed the status of licensed establishment inspections and goals to cross-train with Krizek over the winter so she can provide backup for licensed establishments. Discussion of Short-Term Rental inspections, plan review fees, and annual license fees from the State.
Krizek noted she has continued conversations with Sheriff McQuillan regarding compliance with the most recent complaint this week in the Grizzly Peak Subdivision.
9:40 Public Health Director Erin Cross met for her monthly update (attached). Discussed the creation of a rotating schedule for Senior Centers; Public Health will hit every Center every other month and hope to increase that to monthly when new Nurses can be hired. Cross discussed staff on Military Leave noting the leave has been extended; grant funding has been reallocated to help cover Cross’s wage as she is doing the disease investigations. Cross hopes to also use excess grant funding to stand up STI testing and treatment in the Public Health Office. Plan to make a hiring offer to Care Coordinator this week. Cross noted excess funding can be used to assist with the expansion of Mental Health services in the Bridger area. Discussion of pickup being utilized by Building and Public Information Officer; Commissioners confirmed this is a Public Health-assigned vehicle and there is no obligation for them to allow other departments to utilize it. Also discussed snow tires for the Taurus.
County Attorney Alex Nixon called in for his regular appointment; the Commissioners had nothing to discuss.

Blain moved to approve minutes for November 21; Miller seconded; motion carried.
