Commissioners Doug Tucker, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.
Gordon Sirrine, Mary Cameron, and Diane Dimich were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.
Mary noted the DUI Task Force will be sponsoring sober rides on New Year’s Eve. Mary also discussed Office of Public Assistance closure and the impacts it will have on the local population.
Commissioner Blain moved to approve special claim check for December 2017; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
Commissioner Blain moved to accept minutes from December 4, 2017; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
9:25 Commissioner Blain moved to approve Department of Public Health and Human Services Interlocal Agreement for Licensed Establishment Inspections; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
9:50 DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners regarding plowing policy in extreme cold and high wind events and emergency response when roads drifted shut.
10:00 Deputy County Attorney Shannon Foley and Civil Deputy Jacque Papez met with Commissioners. The regular County Attorney time was moved to 10:00 going forward to accommodate Justice Court appearances. Commissioner Bullock asked about establishing an annual applicant pool for the Dispatch Center. Discussed Mud Springs et. al. Wind Project; have not seen updated documents in relation to Development Permit.
11:25 Deputy Clerk and Recorder Christine Stovall met with Commissioners to discuss purchases from Dyna Systems. She noted some items, specifically safety glasses, are priced quite a bit higher than other vendors.
