COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS       

          January 14, 2016

          Commissioners John Grewell and John Prinkki were present.

          8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.

          9:00 County Attorney’s meeting was cancelled as Alex was out sick.

          Don Kinney met with Commissioners to discuss Airport Hanger lease transfer.

          9:30 Treasurer Jane Swanson-Webb met with Commissioners for the 2nd quarter Collateral Report. There was total cash of $18,252,517.12 for all entities. Commissioner Grewell moved approval of Collateral Report; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

          10:00 Sheriff Josh McQuillan, Stillwater Sheriff Cliff Brophy, and Victim Witness advocates Amanda Browning and Emma Schmelzer met with Commissioners to discuss the Interlocal Agreement and updates to the grant program. The Board of Crime Control has adding reporting procedures for additional statistic tracking. The will receive full funding this year allowing Stillwater County to combine the Part-Time Assistant position paid for by the grant and the Part-Time assistant position paid for through the Interlocal Agreement to be combined into one Full-Time Advocate position.

          Commissioner Grewell moved acceptance of Interlocal Agreement for Victim Witness Services; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

          Commissioners also discussed inmate housing with Sheriff Brophy; Stillwater Co. houses most inmates in Yellowstone  and Fergus Counties. They have recently hired transport officer / bailiff.
