Commissioners Robert ‘Pits’ DeArmond, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Officer Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.
Clerk and Recorder Christine Stovall met with Commissioners regarding Thursday’s meeting; she requested that future questions about procedures in her office be directed to her.
8:45 DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners. He will be working with Dunne Communications regarding the radio system roll out and coordinating test pages during that time period. Commissioners requested that Tom bring Deputy DES Coord. Annie Gillespie up to speed on the radio issues. Commissioner DeArmond noted the Bridger road crew will be cutting in the road to the Bridger radio tower site today. Tom noted there have been quite a few questions about the concrete pad. Commissioner DeArmond agreed there are some complications with the bedrock that is under the tower and they will have to determine how the pad will be anchored when they dig it out. They also discussed the generator at the fairgrounds and changing how power is routed to fair facilities. The Fair Board would like to add service increase the number of plugins for campers.
Commissioners discussed paving projects for the 2019-2020 budget. Commissioner Blain will check with MDOT regarding their paving schedule for the new Highway 212 alignment to see if the County can time paving of Farewell Road at the same time. Commissioners also discussed gravel crushing.

Area II Agency on Aging – Commissioner Bullock
Custer Gallatin Working Group – Commissioner Bullock
South Central Juvenile Detention Board – Commissioner Bullock
Commissioners discussed the road union contract which is up for negotiation this spring. They would like to revise the contract to align with the practice of working 4-10s all year. They would also like to discuss with employees if they would like to remove the clause requiring ½ hr unpaid lunch so they could end their day a ½ hr earlier.
Victim Advocate Tessa Brangers met with Commissioners for a letter of support for her victim advocate grant application.
Commissioner Bullock moved to approve minutes from January 7, 2019; Commissioner DeArmond seconded; motion carried.
Commissioner Blain moved to appoint Jerry Scott to the At Large Position on the Carbon county Library Board for the remainder of the term to expire 6/30/2020; Commissioner DeArmond seconded; motion carried.
