1:00 Jeremiah Theys with GreatWest Engineering met with Commissioners to discuss the bridge capital improvement plan and determine if the County wants to submit a Treasure State Endowment Program (TSEP) Grant Application for the upcoming biennium. Jeremiah noted the two bridges on East Side Road were listed as “critical” in the most recent Montana Department of Transportation bridge inspection; on had an SR rating of 46 and the other had and SR rating of 38. Both bridges are old timber bridges that are 60-70 years old. Commissioner Tucker asked if the East Side Road Bridges would be eligible for Federal funding because East Side Road is an alternate route for Highway 212; Jeremiah noted the Federal Lands Access program may be a source of funding. Commissioners approved GreatWest to start the preliminary engineering reports for the East Side Road bridges.
