Commissioners Doug Tucker, John Grewell, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.
8:00 Road Foremen Vern Adkins, Shawn Mains, and Eric Walker met with Commissioners to discuss the Road and Bridge Department preliminary budget. They discussed gravel crushing, asphalt projects, and equipment purchases
Maurine Ellis met with Commissioners and foreman regarding John Henry Cemetery road.

9:15 Civil Deputy Attorney Jacque Papez met with Commissioners to discuss County business. Commissioner Bullock spoke with Tom Kohley regarding Simulcast; the software patch seems to have improved the County Mutual Aid repeaters. Industrial will continue to add the patch to repeaters. There is another alleged horse neglect case; there could be as many as 30 horses seized.
9:30 Commissioner Grewell moved to accept Morrison Maierle Systems Corporation Information Technology Services Agreement with Carbon County; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
Commissioners reached agreement with Road Union for 2% salary increase; all other County employees will also receive a 2% increase.
Commissioner Grewell moved to approve April 27, May 1, and May 4 minutes; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
9:50 DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley and Sheriff Josh McQuillan met with Commissioners regarding simulcast. Industrial Communications is in the process of having server rebuilt by Blue Wave; once it comes back there are two other servers that need the patch.
Sheriff McQuillan noted Beartooth Humane Alliance is coordinating hay donations for neglected horses, but the County will need to purchase hay until donations come in.
10:00 Carbon County Library Board members Nancy Butcher, Jane Boos, Marla Ebel, Don Blyton, Mary Majerus, and Carol Anderson, Red Lodge Librarian Jody Moore, Bridger Librarian Krystal Zentner, and Joliet Librarian Deb Hronek met with Commissioners regarding Library funding. Don Blyton Library Board Chair would like additional funds for essential programs. The Legislature cut the State Library funding which will impact local libraries. Library Board member Carol Anderson presented request for additional funds in amount of $8,832.
Librarians discussed the programs that would face cuts if additional funds were not provided. The Commissioners suggested implementing fees for services; librarians do not want to charge for services.
Commissioner Grewell moved to accept Treasurer’s Cash Report for May 2017; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
Commissioner Grewell moved to approve District Court Fines and Fees Summary for May 2017; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
Commissioner Grewell moved to approve judges for the post-election audit; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
10:45 Commissioner Tucker left the meeting to help Sheriff’s Office haul horses.
11:00 Airport Board meeting. Merrill Pfeifer, Lonnie Sanders, Willis Coffman, Wally Zook, and John Ladvala were present.
