Commissioners Scott Miller, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Officer Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioners discussed Courthouse power issues affecting radios and dispatch equipment and costs associated with moving dispatch to the Personal Services Building.
Election Administrator Crystal Roascio met with Commissioners to discuss canceling the Red Lodge Municipal elections for City Council positions for Ward 1, 2, and 3, Commissioner District 3, and Clerk of District Court primary elections as there are only two candidates for each race. Roascio is also canceling the Precinct 2 committee man/woman election as there are only two candidates.
Disaster and Emergency Services (DES) Coordinator Cyrina Allen met with Commissioners to discuss the Radio Committee meeting yesterday and her interest in continuing to pursue putting a generator at the Personal Services Building for Public Health vaccine refrigerators and for the Emergency Operations Center’s functions.
10:40 Bullock returned. Petet Critelli was in attendance. Commissioners discussed the desire to revise the County’s Growth Policy as it was last revised in 2019 and noting the influx of new residents and other changes following COVID. Blain moved to Approve the Montana Community Reinvestment Plan Act – Planning Grant Application for a Growth Policy Update; Miller seconded; motion carried.
Bullock moved to approve Commissioners’ Proceedings for March 7; Blain seconded; motion carried.
Bullock noted a request for $11,000 in ARPA for the Bridger Seniors, Blain noted he has also had an additional request from Joliet Seniors. Commissioners would like to defer a decision until the budget amendment and verification of ARPA grant changes can be completed.
11:15 Bullock moved to approve the Audit Representation Letter with Olness & Associates; Blain seconded; Bullock requested the audit responses and Management Discussion and Analysis Futures section of the Audit be more public facing on the County’s website; motion carried.
