Commissioners Doug Tucker and John Prinkki were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance
Commissioner Tucker moved to approve the DUI Task Force Grant to the Boys & Girls Club; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.
9:00 Road and Bridge Superintendent David Ohnstad met with Commissioners for his weekly meeting. Dust Control application will be delayed a week because of weather. Crews are preparing to do some asphalt patching and to start the chip seal on the Boyd Cooney Dam Road.
10:00 Commissioner Tucker moved to accept Maternal Child Health Block Grant Agreement; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

10:30 County Extension Agent Nikki Bailey met with Commissioners for her preliminary budget meeting. There were no significant changes to the Extension Budget. Nikki would like to have part-time help to cover the office while she and assistant Sheri Hatten attend the 4H Exchange from June 22-28; Commissioners did not have issue with her using a part-time or temporary employee to fill that role for the week.
10:50 Fair Board Chair Danny Mydland met with Commissioners to discuss the Fairgrounds Keeper position opening. Second choice applicant has not returned calls to schedule a meeting; the position will be offered to the third applicant.
11:00 Fair Board Chair Danny Mydland met with Commissioners to discuss the preliminary budget for the Fair. The Fair Board would like to start a Capital Improvement Fund, they will be meeting Wednesday and will prepare their formal budget request at that time.
11:30 Justice of the Peace Kevin Nichols met with Commissioners to discuss his preliminary budget. The only significant change to the budget was for travel related to Clerk training for a new software program.

1:00 Commissioner Tucker moved to approve May 2nd Commissioners Proceedings; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.
District Court Clerk Rochelle Loyning met with Commissioners to discuss her preliminary budget. Commissioners approved raising Deputy Jenny Dravetsky’s salary to 90% of elected official base salary as discussed last year. There were no other significant changes.
1:30 Sanitarian Josh Juarez met with Commissioners to discuss his preliminary budget. There were some changes to line item expenditures, but the overall appropriation request was reduced as Floodplain Administration services will all be provided in house.
2:00 Election Administrator Judy Christensen met with Commissioners for her preliminary budget. With fewer precincts the voter machine maintenance has decreased.
