9:00 Hub International Insurance Agent Heather Cope and Montana Association of Counties PCT/WCT Trust Administrator Shannon Shanholzer met with Commissioners for the Property Casualty Trust and Workers Compensation Trust Insurance renewals. Shannon noted rates were reevaluated and liability premiums are now based on employee count and the County’s experience rating based on 3-years of liability losses. Carbon County’s total premium decreased 0.10%. Shannon also noted that the Trust has changed their excess insurer to Travelers; Travelers kicks in for hail and wind damage claims over $250,000 all other claims that are in excess of $100,000.
10:00 Deputy County Attorney Shannon Foley met with Commissioners for discovery in the Industrial Communications Simulcast Radio System case which is due tomorrow. A scheduling conference will be set up following the close of discovery.
10:30 Mary Blair with Colonial Life was unable to make the meeting and would like to reschedule. Commissioners noted they are not interested in contracting with another entity for life and supplemental insurance policies for employees.
Commissioner Bullock moved to approve Commissioners proceedings for April 29, May 2, and May 6; Commissioner Blain seconded; motion carried.
11:00 Joel Thompson and Jenny Wegan from the Montana Public Employees Retirement Administration spoke with Commissioners via phone to discuss the 457 Deferred Compensation Plan.
Commissioner Bullock moved to approve affiliation agreement with Mountain View Clinic, Beartooth Billings clinic, and the Regional South Central Mental Health Center; Commissioner DeArmond seconded; motion carried.
