COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS             

          May 7, 2015

          Commissioners Doug Tucker, John Grewell, and John Prinkki were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.

          Commissioner Tucker moved to accept Justice Court End of Period Disbursement for April 2015; Commissioner Grewell seconded; motion carried.

          Justice of the Peace Kevin Nichols and Deputy Treasurer Lori Lynde met with Commissioners regarding the Victim Witness Advocate Funds. Kevin has never had the Victim Witness Advocate in Justice Court and would rather support Domestic and Sexual Violence Services (DSVS) who regularly has advocates in his court. Carbon County’s current contract with Tri-County Victim Witness Advocate Program ends June 30, 2015. Commissioners requested a letter from Treasurer and Justice Court Offices requesting funds be sent to DSVS.           

          9:00 Commissioner Tucker moved to approve claims for April 2015; Commissioner Grewell seconded; motion carried.

          Commissioner Grewell moved to renew JPA Insurance for Workers Compensation with the Montana Association of Counties; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

          Commissioners approved correction to the October 30, 2014 minutes. Linda Reynolds attended the Rosebud River Subdivision final Plat approval (not Linda Tucker).

          9:20 County Attorney Alex Nixon met with Commissioners to discuss County business. Road Superintendent Shawn Mains joined the meeting. Commissioners closed the meeting to discuss a personnel issue. 10:00 Commissioners reopened the meeting.

          Road Superintendent Shawn Mains discussed road maintenance issues with Commissioners. Set volumes for gravel crushing for the 2015-2016 fiscal year. 

          10:45 Commissioner Grewell moved to continue to designate the Mental Health Center’s Journey Recovery Center to received Earmarked Alcohol Tax Revenues; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.
