9:00 DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners to discuss the Emergency Management Planning Grant (EMPG). This year the State is changing the grant cycle to conform with the State and County’s fiscal year rather than the Federal Fiscal Year. Because there is funding for a full year, State DES will be accepting grant applications for special projects. Tom noted this would be an opportunity for a new DES truck to be partially funded by EMPG funds. Commissioners agreed it was a good idea to apply. Tom also he has received quotes for Joliet Emergency Siren and the generator at the Emergency Operations Center; Commissioners will review the quotes Thursday.
