Commissioners Doug Tucker, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.

Clerk and Recorder Marcia Henigman met with Commissioners to give them an update on the Tax Appeal Board. She noted Carbon County has had over 100 reviews for tax assessments, this is a significant increase from years past. There may be four appeals going to the Tax Appeal Board.
Commissioner Tucker moved to accept Claims Report for the early September check run; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
Commissioners discussed the auction of the old hospital building on White Ave in Red Lodge; they will consult with the on-call architect regarding space and see if it is a good option for a future law and justice building.
Commissioner Tucker moved to accept commissioner proceedings for August 21, 24, 28, and 31, 2017; Commissioner Blain seconded; motion carried.
Sheriff Josh McQuillan met with Commissioners to discuss complaint from past employee. He noted he did not get to investigate the issue as the employee quit before complaint against her could be investigated. Sheriff McQuillan also discussed implementing a system to track IT tickets.
