COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS

Commissioners Scott Miller, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock; and Administrative Officer Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.
9:00 Blain moved to open the budget hearing; Miller seconded; motion carried.
Sanitarian update. Sanitarian in Training Barbara Krizek, Temp Sanitarian Scott Vandall, and Assistant Lori Kane were present. Vandall has been focusing on licensed establishment inspections; expects to meet the 90% threshold by year end. Krizek is meeting weekly with Travis West for septic inspections and training. She has received some complaints regarding dumping raw sewage. Krizek has been focused on real world issues and has not spent much time studying, has not scheduled exam as of yet. Discussion regarding office staffing on Fridays; Commissioners asked if there could be on-call availability on Fridays. Kane noted realtors do have some questions on Fridays. Krizek confirmed that in-house questions can be directed to her work cell on Fridays.
Discussion regarding Motor Grader bids. Blain moved to accept bid from RDO Equipment Company for the 2022 872 G with the Capital I wing and straight blade without a trade, for a total of $432,000.00; Miller seconded; carried.
10:30 DES Coordinator Cyrina Allen met with Commissioners for her monthly update. Discussed radio meetings with Road crews. There was some discussion about handhelds limiting radio coverage; Commissioners did not think this would be an issue as most communication is with someone in line of site. Dunne will be the contractor for road radio issues. Allen also noted she will schedule an After Action Review for fires.
11:00 School Budgets. Superintendent of Schools Lori Lynde and Assistant Lori Kane were present. Blain moved to accept school budgets and affix tax levies; Miller Seconded; motion carried.
